Hawaii Lava Lake

A look at the Pu'u 'O'o Lava Lake. Pu'u 'O'o is a volcanic vent in a remote part of the Hawaii Volcanoes National PArk. This vent is on the east rift zone of the Kilauea Volcano and has been the site of volcanic activity since 1983. I watched the lava lake rise almost 15 meters during an overnight stay at the volcano.
